Here is a spectacular website geared toward using iPods, iPhones, and iPads with kids called, creatively
iPhone and Kids. Keep in mind, the overwhelming majority of apps for iPhone are the same for iPods, so don't let "iPhone" in the title make you think it doesn't apply to iPods. Some of the information is specifically geared toward parents, however, the bulk of the information is easily applicable to our situation. There are posts about:
- Best apps to use with kids
- Parental (or teacher) controls
- Making an iPod/iPhone "kid-proof"
- Apps for specific topics (math, health, letters, etc.)
- Managing iPods (like creating folders)
If you have questions about what kids should or shouldn't do or how to prevent something from happening again, this is a
great resource to check. I certainly have.
