Writing Letters

Yes, we're living in the 21st Century, but it's sometimes still necessary to write a good ole' fashioned letter.  And what better than a 21st Century online tool to help us write a good ole' fashioned letter? ReadWriteThink, an incredibly useful online resource for teachers, offers a Letter Generator.

To use the Letter Generator, users enter a series of information which is then entered into a letter template.  Users also see where their information will go on an graphic outline of the letter.  For a business letter, here's the information users enter:
  1. Name
  2. Choose business letter
  3. Heading (street address, city, state, and zip code, and date)
  4. Inside Address
  5. Salutation
  6. Body
  7. Closing
  8. Signature
When finished, letters are reviewable. Then they can be printed, saved, or shared.
