Students can make their own monsters at Make a Monster. The four buttons at the bottom change the shape of the head, eyes, nose, and mouth. Simply clicking on the buttons scrolls through the various options, changing them on the monster immediately.
(I created this beauty in about 30 seconds.)
Using "Print Screen" button (or the F14 button on Mac keyboards) takes a screen capture and "Paint," a Windows program located in the "Accessories" allows you paste the screen capture, cut out the monster (like at left), and save an image of your creation.
As an added bonus, fun noises happen with each click of the buttons. The lips/mouth button makes a great belch. The head shape give a wonderfully spooky growl.
